Maria's Art Creations Clear Gel Glaze 2 oz.
This clear, workable glaze can be used on any surface. It adds texture to your surface and can be used as a clear glaze over an existing basecoat for a transparent finish, or you may add paint or colorants to create your own exciting colors. You can also mix Memories Inks, Pigment Powders and Acrylic Paints to create a less transparent color and this works nicely on Gourd Art. Follow this technique for a lovely show of color; mix accent powder to a small amount of gel glaze and sponge on to the gourd. The next layer will be another mix of accent powder and gel of another color and sponge this onto of the first color. This step can be repeated several time for a lovely display of color. Colors suggested to use one at a time on top of each other;reflex violet, spring green, aztec gold and red russet. Stir Well before use and the best way to apply to gourd is using a cosmetic sponge.

This medium is added to a water-based paint, glaze, varnish, gel medium or ink to slow drying time or to properly dilute a thickened product. Start with one drop at a time because a drop goes a long way. It also lightens your color slightly so test it before adding to your art. Non-toxic and soap and water clean-up

Gel Medium is a thick, white gel that dries clear. Dries quickly and can be used as a sealer over dyes, inks, paints and etc. It adds texture to your surface and may be applied with a brush, foam brush, pallet knife, trowel or even your fingers. Mix with inks, metallics and colorants or dyes. You can paint it on or stencil onto clothing and textiles, allow to cure 48 hours before machine washing.
